Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET), a subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corp., will host a STEM learning-lab with Cottageville Elementary School fourth and fifth grade students in celebration of National Manufacturing Day.
Students will participate in hands-on learning activities designed to introduce them to modern manufacturing, the role of titanium in aerospace and renewable energy concepts like photosynthesis and solar power. The event aims to inspire the next generation of manufacturers by showcasing how STEM education plays a crucial role in today’s advanced manufacturing environment.
The event will take place at Cottageville Elementary School, 270 Second St., Cottageville, WV, on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, from 8:30 to 10:10 a.m. Media can arrive at 8:15 a.m. for interviews with the teachers and staff. Interviews can be done after the event as well. Video interviews and b-roll will be provided by TIMET due to distance and will be sent in a media kit after the event is concluded.
