Enjoy a morning cruise to Blennerhassett Island hosted by Margaret Blennerhassett Saturday, Oct. 3, 2013. Margaret will provide a glimpse into the 18th-century frontier life she and Harman experienced while living on Blennerhassett Island. She will share intriguing stories about Aaron Burr, Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. Margaret’s love of entertaining makes her a sparkling hostess. Margaret is portrayed by actress/historian Debra Conner.
The boat will depart for the island from Point Park in downtown Parkersburg at 10 a.m. The cost of the Brunch with Margaret is $39.95 per person. The price of the ticket includes the round-trip sternwheeler ride, a guided tour of the Blennerhassett Mansion, brunch and program by Margaret, a narrated wagon ride tour, and a self-guided tour of the Blennerhassett Museum.
