Cabell Huntington Hospital has received the Get With The Guidelines®– Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award for meeting patient care quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for the treatment of stroke patients.
Get With The Guidelines® puts the unparalleled expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping hospital care teams ensure that the care provided to heart failure and stroke patients is aligned with the latest evidence-based guidelines. The goal of hospitals participating in Get With The Guidelines is to save lives.
In addition to helping Cabell Huntington Hospital’s stroke team provide patients with the most up-to-date stroke care, Get With The Guidelines empowers hospital staff to provide education about stroke warning signs and risks that can help prevent stroke or reduce serious events that may lead to death or disability.
