Join the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for  three small business tracks and the Small Business Week Awards Ceremony during the 24th annual Teaming to Win conference in Morgantown, at the Erickson Alumni Center, on May 28-29.

The first track SBA offers, Positioning Yourself for Success – Practical, Proactive Strategies, begins at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. Government contractors prioritize how they spend their time and effort, this session presents a number of key areas in which relatively modest investments by contractors can result in significant benefits down the road.

The second track, Strategic Forecast, is a one hour track beginning at 10:45 a.m. May 29. The track briefs participants on forthcoming unpublicized solicitations, facilitating networking, and one-on-one visits throughout the conference. Representatives invited include: Federal Bureau of Investigation/Criminal Justice Information Services Division, Bureau of Fiscal Service, Department of Energy/NETL, Department of State, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Institute of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC).

The third track, Getting on the “A-Lists”- Partnerships Can Get You There, is a one hour track beginning at 1:15 p.m. on the 29th. During the track, participants learn about teaming up to land federal contracts. Experts provide first-hand testimony, tips and lessons learned.  A panel of experts address questions, such as: “How do I know who to trust?” and “How do I know which partnership, teaming/mentor-protégé/prime-sub is for me?”

Later that evening on the 29th, SBA honors the 2014 West Virginia Small Business award winners during a dinner at the conference. Stephen L. Morris, Assistant Director of the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division, delivers the keynote address during the event.
