Aspiring entrepreneurs looking for sources of financing can join the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration during the a free workshop on Thursday, June 26 at the Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.
SBA guarantees support loans to small businesses that have challenges obtaining credit in the conventional loan market. During a panel discussion, Leo Lopez, SBA lender relations specialist, reviews loan guarantee programs available through the agency.
“In 2013, SBA guaranteed an excess of $39.8 million in loans for West Virginia small businesses,” states SBA WV District Director, Judy McCauley. “I encourage everyone to attend this workshop and learn about the loan-guarantee programs the SBA offers to help small businesses start, grow and succeed.”
