Robin Hildebrand has joined the Adventures on the Gorge (AOTG) team as group sales manager.
Hildebrand’s primary focus will be to attract business for the resort’s new conference center set to open in July.
“Robin understands the bigger picture. We’re not just selling AOTG, we’re selling West Virginia,” Dave Hartvigsen, Adventures on the Gorge CEO said. “Her skill set and zeal are the perfect fit for our team.”
If her name sounds familiar, it should. As the founder of Blue Smoke Salsa, she’s been dubbed by many as West Virginia’s cheerleader for her business savviness, entrepreneur spirit, and unending passion for all things West Virginia.
Hildebrand joined the AOTG team in late March and is quick to say with a smile, “I only sell the best. AOTG is an image changer for West Virginia – from economic development to leading the nation in outdoor recreation – it’s the getaway place everyone wants to experience for work or play.”
“We all know when we’re mentally happy, we’re also more productive. The meeting space is an excuse; the real reason to come to AOTG is to reignite one’s creativity. That’s easy to do when you’re on a mountaintop overlooking some of the most gorgeous views in the country. I love my job!,” she said.
Once completed, the new AOTG conference center will connect approximately 2,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space to the resort’s existing 3,000 square feet of multi-use space located in the restaurant Smokey’s on the Gorge and in a nearby boardroom. The new meeting space is expected to include as many as five meeting rooms with a flexible design to accommodate a maximum of 200 people, seated theater-style.
