The Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter is hosting a Walk Team Celebration and Kickoff for the 2015 Charleston Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on Thursday, July 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Kickoff will be held at Charles Ryan Associates at Appalachian Power Park, located at 601 Morris Street, Suite 301 in Charleston.
The event will allow teams to register for the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will be held at Appalachian Power Park on Saturday, October 24.
As part of the kickoff event, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to start a team, meet other teams, register their team, pick up team packets, and learn fundraising tips. The kickoff is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
“The Team Celebration and Kickoff allows returning team captains to pick up information for the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® and also provides information for those who have never started a team before. It is a great opportunity to meet other teams, volunteers and staff with the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Rachel McGinnis, Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Coordinator.
