- The Lock-up runs between the hours of 9am to 1pm, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Texas Roadhouse.
- MDA recruits local business and community leaders just like you to be “arrested” for having a big heart.
- After your “arrest” you will become a fundraiser or “bail raiser” for MDA .
- Bail is set at $2,400, which will send 3 children to MDA summer camp.
- From the time you are recruited as a jailbird to the day of the event we give you various ideas and fun ways to raise your bail. For example:
- A bail packet is mailed to you with all the necessary materials to raise your bail.
- An email is sent to register online for your own personalized webpage where you can email your contacts and donors can make secure online donations to help raise the jailbirds bail.
- A personal fundraising coach is available to help with ideas and unique ways to raise your bail out of jail.
- Press releases will be sent to various media outlets in the area to announce the event.
- During the weeks leading up to the event, newsletters and emails will be sent to all jailbirds with exciting info on the event itself and strides made in research and services through the efforts of people just like you.
- The day of the event a volunteer deputy will pick you up at your place of business and take you to the event, where we will hold you for just one hour. While at our lock-up, you will turn in you bail, mingle with other participating professionals in the area, enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch, and have a great time raising money for families living with muscle diseases in Charleston. You can choose any hour between 9am to 1pm on Wednesday, October 30th to participate!
