The medical staff and administration of University Healthcare Berkeley Medical Center recently hosted a reception to honor four retiring physicians for their years of service to the hospital and health system.
Dr. Edward Arnett, Dr. Aurelio Benavides, Dr. John Palkot and Dr. Harvey Reisenweber all retired from the Berkeley Medical Center medical staff in 2013. Each of these four physicians practiced medicine in Berkeley County for at least 30 years, some over 40 years.
University Healthcare Board Chairman Robert Baronner, Berkeley Medical Center Chief Administrative Officer Anthony Zelenka, and Medical Staff President Dr. Al Draper all offered words of sincere thanks to these outstanding medical professionals who dedicated their lives to medicine.
