BMH Radiology Director Receives Gloriam Award from Wheeling Jesuit University

One of Boone Memorial Hospital’s (BMH) own has received a very prestigious award from Wheeling Jesuit University. Greg Zornes, who serves as the director of radiology, was recently presented with the Gloriam Award for leadership, service and academic excellence.

Zornes is enrolled in the Bachelor’s of Organizational Leadership and Development (BOLD) program at Wheeling Jesuit. He received the award for his leadership role at BMH, service to the community and for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average while in the program.

“We are very proud of Greg. He has been a leader at Boone Memorial Hospital for many years so I’m not surprised by this accomplishment,” said CEO of BMH, Tommy Mullins.

Zornes was one of only a handful of students selected from more than 375 who were academically eligible to receive this year’s award.

The committee commended Zornes on his willingness to assume leadership responsibilities for campus and community based activities, service activities and for his excellence in academics.

“We would like to congratulate Greg on this very impressive accomplishment,” said a member of the selection committee.

Zornes was recognized with the Gloriam Award on Friday, May 3. The ceremony was held in the executive dining room at Wheeling Jesuit University. Zornes graduated this month from the BOLD program. He also has an associates degree in science and is a registered radiologist technologist. The hospital staff and administration commends Greg for his hard work and dedication in college, the community and at BMH.
