My Bank First United Bank & Trust and Bowles Rice, some being former local West Virginia University Basketball players, partnered recently for the second annual Shootout for Charity.  The goal was to raise awareness and funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Morgantown.  Players on each team collected pledges prior to the event for each of the five contests:  3 point; horse; half court challenge; free throws and knock out.  The pledges totaled $6,500.

R.L. Fisher, Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of First United Bank & Trust, said, “One of our top priorities has always been our commitment to supporting the community and especially the non-profits that serve our community.  It was a pleasure to participate in the Shoot Out and provide a gift to the local Ronald McDonald House.”

“We are grateful to First United Bank & Trust and Bowles Rice for choosing our charity to benefit from this great event,” said EleanorShoutout pic_2016 Reigel, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Morgantown. “The support of the community plays an important role in helping us serve our families.”

For over a century, the My Bank First United team has been serving local communities in many different ways – from bank-wide efforts such as shoe drives and walk-a-thons, to individual efforts of employees like local board appointments and non-profit volunteer work, all in an effort to serve and a positive impact in all of the bank’s communities.  First United Bank & Trust calls this community initiative, ‘Share the Love’ and is proud to participate, along with Bowles Rice, for such a worthy local cause.

First United Corporation operates one full-service commercial bank, First United Bank & Trust.  The Bank has a network of community offices in Garrett, Allegany, Washington, and Frederick Counties in Maryland, as well as Mineral, Berkeley and Monongalia Counties in West Virginia.  First United’s website can be located at mybank4.com.  As of 3/31/2016, the corporation posted assets of $1.32 billion.
