Cabela’s Presents “The Big Coal Appreciation Festival” on August 31

Cabela’s in Charleston, and the West Virginia Coal Association will honor the contributions of those who spend their working lives under the earth in coal mines by offering employee pricing to all active and retired coal miners.  The Big Coal Appreciation Festival event recognizes the service and sacrifice of those who work in the mines across West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The event will feature Senator Art Kirkendoll, Frank Addington, Jr “The Aspirin Buster” and his special bow razzle dazzle, Parker Bows shooting trailer, The Hatfield McCoy Trails information trailer, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will have information and a trailer, the I77 Raceway Park will have a stock car on display. There’ll be an appearance by Bowtech Prostaff, the West Virginia Coal Association will have an information booth, and we’ll have Professional Chainsaw Carvers. WQBE will be there and there is also going to be a Daisy Rifle BB Gun Range, a youth archery range and various casting seminars including fly fishing, bait casting and open-face reel casting. All activities will be held outside in the side parking lot of the store. The activities will start at 10:00 am and run through 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 31 however the employee pricing offer is in effect during normal store hours. Cabela’s is open from 8:00 am to 9:00pm Monday through Saturday, and from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sundays.
