Craig M. Baker, AAIA – Principal and Architectural Division Manager of The Thrasher Group, Inc. recently received the Certified Educational Facility Planner (CEFP) designation, a mark of excellence developed to reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities of educational facility planners.   The CEFP was designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and identify those who demonstrate and understand essential practices of educational facility planning.

The Council of Educational Facility Planners (CEFPI) observed that “An individual who has been certified by CEFPI has achieved the highest qualification in our profession.  Clients can appoint CEFPs with confidence that they have been examined for competence by our association.”

After graduating from San Diego States Educational Facilities Planning program and meeting other eligibility requirements Craig was able to earn this valuable credential. The Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) is the only professional organization whose principal purpose is improving the places where children learn.  CEFPI embraces a diverse group of professionals with one single goal – building healthy, safe, high performance and sustainable learning environments that enhance student and teacher performance and support culture and community vitality.  To learn more, visit www.cefpi.org.
