The Charleston Area Alliance is happy to welcome Dunkin’ Donuts to Kanawha County. The Alliance first started working with Shawn Caric, a Franchising Manager with Dunkin’ Donuts back in 2011. In May of 2011, the Alliance hosted a luncheon that featured Dunkin’ brands to gauge the interest of potential franchisees in our market. Since then, the Alliance has been actively engaged with Dunkin’ as they continued to identify potential partners for opportunity.

“We are pleased to have Dunkin’ Donuts coming to our market. Dunkin’ is as well known for its coffee blends as it is for its donuts,” said Charleston Area Alliance President/CEO Matt Ballard. “The capital investment that will go into the facilities and the jobs created will be a positive for the region.”

The company announced its plans to move into Charleston as part of a larger regional expansion in West Virginia and Virginia. Five new stores are expected to be added between Charleston and Beckley and will be franchised by Little General Stores. The first store is expected to open in 2016.
