Clear Mountain Bank has announced that Janice Forman will retire from the company on December 18th, after nearly 40 years of service.

A native of Aurora, Forman began her banking career in 1976 as a teller at The Terra Alta Bank.  She worked as a teller for 20 years before accepting the position of BSA/compliance officer in 1996, and she continued in that role when The Terra Alta Bank combined with Bruceton Bank to create Clear Mountain Bank in 2005.

Forman has completed numerous financial training courses during her career, including the West Virginia Bankers Association Compliance School, the Sheshunoff Regulatory Compliance Certification Program, and the Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer Program and Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering School.

“I have seen many changes in banking technology and regulations during my career,” said Forman.  “I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to work with the nice people of the bank and I’ve made a lot of friends.”

Forman has been active with several community organizations in the Terra Alta and Aurora areas during her career.  She currently represents Clear Mountain Bank on the Aurora School Improvement Council, and is a member and pianist for the Amboy United Methodist Church.

Brian F. Thomas, president & CEO of Clear Mountain Bank, said Forman has been a very important part of the bank.  “We’ve been fortunate to have Janice as part of our team here at Clear Mountain Bank,” said Thomas.  “We thank Janice for her years of dedication and service, and wish her the very best in retirement.”

Forman said she is looking forward to spending time with family and friends during retirement.  She and her husband, Arthur, reside in Aurora and have one daughter and son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Clear Mountain Bank will host a reception at its Terra Alta office on Thursday, December 17th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to stop by and congratulate Janice on her retirement.
