Determination, focus and precision are characteristics of a Sharp Shooter, in every sense of the word. West Virginia Executive (WVE)’s latest class of Sharp Shooters are no exception. These 10 men and women each have a drive that has taken them to the current season of their lives and careers, along with a motivation to make West Virginia an even better place to live, learn, work and play.
Sharp Shooters are West Virginians over the age of 43 who have made an impact in their careers and communities. Nominees must have lived in the state and been in their West Virginia-based positions for at least five years and must actively participate in community service and philanthropic endeavors.
WVE is proud to introduce the Sharp Shooters Class of 2023: Kendra Boggess, president of Concord University; Anne Bolyard, Ed.D., mayor of the City of Fairmont and director of corporate and foundation relations—Health Sciences Center for West Virginia University Foundation, Inc.; Carte Goodwin, partner in charge for Frost Brown Todd LLP and vice chair of the West Virginia Bar Appellate Committee; Eddie Keefer, president of Keefer’s Powersports and Mountain State Harley-Davidson; Lieutenant Colonel Bob Luther, commander of the 2nd Battalion of the 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) with the West Virginia National Guard; David Nolan, senior investment strategist for McKinley Carter Wealth Services; Don Robinson, president of MVB Bank; Paul Smith, chef and owner of 1010 Bridge, The Pitch Sports Bar & Grill and Ellen’s Ice Cream; Frank Vitale, president and CEO of Forge Business Solutions; and Linda Wigal, regional vice president of sales for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia.
