Governor Earl Ray Tomblin announced today Robby Queen will serve as the Director of Government Affairs for the Governor’s Office, effective June 6.

“Robby is an outstanding young man who will be a great addition to our team,” Gov. Tomblin said. “He will be an asset to our state as he works with people across West Virginia.”

A Logan High School graduate and Promise Scholar at West Virginia University, Queen worked for Tomblin while Tomblin served as Senate President, first as a legislative intern and later as a per-diem employee. He worked as a special assistant to then-Governor Joe Manchin III and most recently served as a District Representative for Congressman Nick J. Rahall II.

In his new role, Queen will work with regional representatives and assist with constituent issues.

“I’ve always respected Governor Tomblin and the work he has done,” Queen said. “I am excited to join this dynamic team, and I consider it an honor to be able to work with him as our governor.”
