Governor Tomblin Appoints Gregory Boso to Represent 11th District in West Virginia Senate

Governor Earl Ray Tomblin has appointed Gregory L. Boso to represent residents of the 11t hDistrict in the West Virginia Senate. Boso’s appointment fills the vacancy created when Senator Clark Barnes resigned earlier this week to serve as Senate Clerk. The appointment is effective immediately.

A 1980 graduate of the West Virginia Institute of Technology, Boso has served as a design civil engineer, engineering project manager and currently provides forensic and investigative engineering services for cases in Kentucky and West Virginia. He currently serves as the president of G.L. Boso & Associates, Inc. and Boso & Boso, Inc. in Summersville.

Boso is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, National Academy of Forensic Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and the West Virginia Society of Professional Engineers. He is a deacon and member of the Summersville Baptist Church and chaplain for the Summersville Fire Department, where he has also served in a variety of capacities since 1976 including Lieutenant and Fire Prevention Officer, Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief.

He resides in Summersville with his wife, Deborah.
