You’ve heard of farm-to-table but what about farm-to-farm? This spring, two Wayne County family-owned and -operated businesses will join forces as Twelvepole Trading Post opens new locations at Heritage Farm. Twelvepole Trading opened its first brick and mortar location in Wayne in 2020. Since then, guests have enjoyed its famous pepperoni rolls, Almost Heaven cookies, iced lattes and fresh fruit smoothies.

Park Ferguson and Lacey Ferguson, owners, source a large portion of the ingredients from their own farm, Elmcrest Farm, located in Wayne County. If they do not source them from there, they get them from approximately 40 other local partners. Their tomatoes and lettuce come from stu-dent farmers at Wayne High School.

Their Heritage Farm locations will be open to the public while visiting the village during farm hours of operation. Inside the visitors center they will offer refreshing coffees, teas, smoothies and other drinks. The Village Vittles concessions area will serve staples such as burgers, paninis, beef barbecue, hot dogs with sauce and, of course, the aforementioned pepperoni rolls.

In the words of Heritage Farm’s executive director, “Wayne County is Delicious!”
