Heritage Farm will open for the 2024 season on Thursday, May 2, and its annual Spring Festival will follow on Saturday May 4. This year marks the 28th anniversary of the farm being open to the public.
The 28th annual Spring Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 4, and it kicks off the 2024 season for Heritage Farm. The Spring Festival has been a tradition since the museum’s grand opening in 1996. Guests can enjoy live artisan demos, visit Smithsonian Affiliate Museums, check out the Treehouse Trek and Nature Center, take a wagon ride and hang out with farm animals. Children can enjoy the new additions to the Discovery Zone playground and Critter Corner.
“Down in the Holler,” a musical production celebrating the history of Heritage Farm, will have both morning and afternoon performances.
“We are so pleased to welcome old and new guests to the farm in 2024,” says Executive Director Audy Perry. “We are excited to reconnect with our friends and neighbors and share some amazing new opportunities and family activities we have created for our guests.”
