HospiceCare is pleased to introduce Jessica Hall, the agency’s new Director of Communications and Development, who will manage their Marketing and Development Team.

“It is an absolute honor to be joining the HospiceCare family,” Hall said. “My personal experience with HospiceCare has made me a firm believer in all the good this organization can do for West Virginia families. I am excited to help spread its mission and increase awareness of the incredible work done every day.”

HospiceCare affirms life and recognizes the uniqueness and dignity of individuals from all walks of life, providing palliative, hospice and bereavement care services to patients and their families.

Hall’s primary goal will be to expand outreach among local healthcare providers, patients, community supporters and volunteers throughout HospiceCare’s 16-county service area across central and southern West Virginia.

“I hope to educate and inform both healthcare professionals and the community at-large about the unique benefits of the interdisciplinary programs and services HospiceCare offers,” Hall said.

Hall brings with her 10 years of communications, marketing and public relations experience, most recently serving as Public Outreach Communications Manager for the West Virginia Department of Education, and as an Account Executive with Charles Ryan Associates for five years prior.

Hall earned her BA in Communications and History from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and her MA in Communication, Culture & Technology from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. While working toward her master’s degree, Jessica served as a press aide for U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV).

Engaged to fellow Charleston native Austin Haney, she enjoys spending her free time with family and friends experiencing everything the city and region have to offer. Hall also teaches spin at Zenergy Cycling, cares for her Saddlebred horse, Max, who turned 22 this year, and her three cats, Chairman Meow, Margaret Scratcher and Ruth Bader Ginspurr.

This year HospiceCare celebrates 40 years of serving West Virginia families, providing peace, comfort and dignity to all during their time of greatest need. HospiceCare… we can help sooner than you think!
