Former West Virginia Chamber Chairman A. Michael Perry died peacefully at his home in Huntington surrounded by his family early this morning.

The West Virginia Chamber was but one of many organizations to receive the benefit of Mike’s wisdom, generosity and talent.

A leading lawyer, banker, philanthropist and community leader, Mike served as President and CEO of JP Morgan Chase Banks of WV, interim President of Marshall University and founder of Heritage Farm Museum in Wayne County, WV.

Among his many corporate endeavors, he served as a director of Champion Industries, Logan Corporation, the Mingo Wyoming Coal Land Company and he served on the board of Arch Coal.

He was a former chairman of the board of the Huntington Museum of Art, the Huntington and West Virginia Chambers of Commerce and was President of the Rotary Club of Huntington.

His civic interests and support knew no limits.

Mike was inducted into the West Virginia Chamber Hall of Fame in 2012.

His immediate survivors include his loving wife, Henriella and three children and their spouses and families.
