Morgantown Social NetworX (MSNX) will hold its next Happy Hour event on Thursday, February 18, from 5:30-8 p.m., at the Iron Horse Tavern in downtown Morgantown.
Iron Horse Tavern specializes in West Virginia craft beer, specialty cocktails, house infusions and unique pub fare. Twelve established breweries are on tap at the tavern, rotating among 10 draft spouts. The pub offers a sampler of six beers, customer’s choice, which is a great opportunity to try new beers.
“Iron Horse is approachable to everyone from Mom and Dad to established business men and women to young professionals to those in college,” says Steve Dilettoso, manager and part owner of Iron Horse Tavern. “We pride ourselves on being a laid-back restaurant and bar. MSNX is the perfect group to have at Iron Horse because they have an evenly distributed cross section of the community.”
The venue’s brick walls, incandescent lighting and wood flooring make for a rustic atmosphere that appeals to everyone. Iron Horse was recently voted for Best Brunch in Morgantown, which starts on Sundays at 10 a.m. Brunch features bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary’s beginning at 1 p.m.
“Having MSNX in Morgantown has been a lot of fun for me and my friends,” says James Stevenson, a 32-year resident of Morgantown. “I am now retired, and it’s a wonderful way to meet people of all ages and enjoy a local venue and their specials that night.”
MSNX Happy Hour events are open to all, so bring your spouse, significant other or friends—the more the merrier. Each attendee is responsible for their own bill, and the venue offers specials to MSNX attendees. Happy Hour pricing on February 18 will include $1 off domestic and West Virginia craft drafts, glasses of wine and specialty cocktails.
Parking options at the Iron Horse include metered parking along High Street and in the lot behind Iron Horse.
