In 1999, a man who was passionate about quality and determined to provide extraordinary construction and construction related services began his own journey to fulfill these dreams.  Today, 15 years later, that same passion continues to live on in Jarrett Construction Services.

Backed by a solid reputation for honesty, integrity, and quality, the 15-year old Charleston-based firm has stood the test of time, weathering the toughest economic conditions seen in generations.  While so many other construction companies fell victim to the lagging economy, Jarrett has been able to maintain a path of steady growth and success.

John Jarrett, a seventh generation West Virginian, started out with a belief which is an integral part of the strong work ethic of many other West Virginians:  that delivering the highest quality while maintaining budgets and meeting deadlines is a formula for success. Fifteen years later, that same commitment is still firmly in place.  Today, Jarrett offers planning, construction management, design-build, general construction and estimating services to the commercial and light industrial industries throughout West Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region.

“It has always been our vision to allow our clients to focus on their business while we focus on their project,” said founder John Jarrett. “We are very proud of the fact that over 74 percent of our business comes from repeat clients.  Not only do our clients come to us again and again for future projects, they also recommend us to their business associates, families and friends.  I think that, more than anything else, speaks volumes about the quality we are able to deliver.” Some of the firm’s longstanding clients include The Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, The Moses Family of Dealerships, and Bowles Rice, LLC.

Early work for Jarrett consisted largely of the restoration and renovation of historic structures. Growth has been steady ever since, with the company adding different types of projects to their roster while carefully renovating and moving their own base of operations to their Virginia Street location. In 2009, Jarrett Construction expanded again by adding high-end, custom residential projects to the growing list of services they offered, as well.

Today, Jarrett is one of the largest commercial construction firms in West Virginia. The company routinely delivers design/build and competitively bid projects ranging in size from $500,000 to $20,000,000. The company directly employs 25 people and indirectly several hundred subcontractors.  Jarrett is currently working on the new 62,000 square foot Energy Corporation of America Eastern Region Headquarters in the Northgate Business Park in Charleston, WV. The project is expected to complete later this fall.

Jarrett Construction Services is located at 1605 Virginia Street East in Charleston, WV.  For more information on the firm including a comprehensive project list, visit www.jarrett-construction.com, or call (304) 344-9140.
