University Healthcare Jefferson Medical Center will host its second annual Community Baby Shower on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Mothers and fathers-to-be, as well as new moms and dads are invited to celebrate new life and parenthood by attending this free educational event, to be held at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson as part of University Healthcare’s National Hospital Week celebration.
“The purpose of the Community Baby Shower is to provide a forum for expectant and new families to learn about topics that are important to the health and well-being of new babies,” stated Arlene Fernandez-Anderson, director of clinical support and outreach services at Jefferson Medical Center.
According to Fernandez-Anderson, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Jefferson Medical Center professionals and community representatives to get answers to questions regarding all aspects of pregnancy to birth, to baby and beyond.
Information will be provided along with door prizes and refreshments. Vendors who are interested in having a display table are also being recruited for the event. As part of the Community Days Health Fair, free screenings will be provided along with tours of Jefferson Medical Center.
