We are pleased to announce that Dr. Stefanie Tompkins, Director of DARPA’s Defense Sciences Office, will deliver keynote remarks at the Women & Technology Conference, October 6-7, 2016.

A former military intelligence officer, Dr. Tompkins previously served as the DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) Chief of Staff, as well as Deputy Director of the agency’s Strategic Technology Office, where she developed and managed programs in advanced navigation systems, as well as optical element design and manufacture.

The Women & Technology Conference aims to encourage women involved in technology education and research, private enterprises, the public sector, investing, and entrepreneurship.  A core focus of this year’s event will explore how women and technology can help revitalize West Virginia’s economy.

The conference agenda–full of inspirational speakers, informative and useful panel discussions and breakout sessions–will be announced soon.  In addition to Dr. Tompkins, the conference will feature several other exciting keynote speakers.  Plan to join us in Canaan Valley in early October, when the fall foliage is at its peak!
