Kingery & Company, LLC, is pleased to share two exciting staffing announcements. Tamerra Gilmore, the firm’s operations manager, has been promoted to a new role as Business Relations Manager, and Dawn Nolan has joined the team as Projects Manager.
In her previous position as Operations Manager, Gilmore was responsible for the day-to-day workings at Kingery & Company and was fully involved in client relations, project management, report writing and research, fundraising and event planning. Her new role will center on finding new business leads, networking and maintaining professional relationships. Gilmore also manages all meeting and event bookings at The Retreat.
“Tamerra has really come into her own here. She helped oversee the design and the general aesthetic of The Retreat, she is the relationship builder, and she makes sure those that visit always have an extraordinary experience. She believes in our mission of helping nonprofit organizations and puts her heart into it,” said Tricia Kingery, owner/president of Kingery & Company. “Promoting her to Business Relations Manager was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”
In her role as Projects Manager, Nolan will play an integral part in projects oversight, content strategy and development, media relations and event planning and promotion.
“Good PR is about storytelling and no one writes a story like Dawn Nolan. She is a published writer, editor and PR specialist who is now using her talent to lift nonprofits into the spotlight,” Kingery said. “From press releases to proposals, grants to magazine articles, our team and the nonprofit community is better because of her.”
Gilmore joined Kingery & Company in August 2017 after more than five years with the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. She is a Hurricane native and holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial organizational psychology from Marshall University.
Nolan is a communications professional with a decade of experience in public relations, marketing and print journalism. She has written for several local, regional and national publications. Nolan is a Huntington native and holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marshall University.
