Have you been searching for a solution to weight loss? Many people have failed countless times at diet, exercise and commercial programs. What they don’t realize is that gastric banding with the Lap-Band® System may be the answer.

Persons interested in learning more about the Lap-Bandâ procedure being performed at University Healthcare Berkeley Medical Center are invited to attend a free presentation on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, located on the Berkeley Medical Center campus.

Dr. Robert E. Cicchino, Jr., a general surgeon with University Surgical Associates, will provide an overview of the Lap-Bandâ procedure while explaining the pros and cons of the system. This minimally invasive procedure takes typically less than an hour. Seminar participants will also have an opportunity to ask their questions.

The Lap-Bandâ Adjustable gastric banding system is the only FDA approved weight loss procedure for adults that want to lose 30 or more pounds and whose weight is affecting their health. Under the direction of Dr. Cicchino, Berkeley Medical Center began offering the procedure to the community in 2011.

As seating is limited, reservations are required for this free presentation and may be made by calling University Surgical Associates at 304-596-6900. For more information on the Lab-Band® System, visit LAPBAND.com.
