The Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West is hosting Breakfast with Santa this Saturday, December 14th.  The event takes place from 8am until 10:30am at the hotel.  Breakfast will be served, along with Christmas Carols and sugar cookie decorating.  Photos with Santa will be available and parents can take their own as well.

“The hotel is just 1 ½ blocks from the South Charleston Christmas Parade route so attendees can have breakfast with the jolly elf and then wave to him in the parade.” said Melissa Stricker, Director of Marketing and Revenue Management at the Holiday Inn & Suites.  The parade begins at noon, which gives those at breakfast plenty of time to get D Street.

The cost for the event is: Adults – $17.95 plus tax, Kids 4 to 12  – $9.95 plus tax and Children 3 & under eat free.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the Pro-Kids, Inc. program.  The Pro-Kids program has provided quality after-school care in a stable environment from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. every school day since 1992 to children in Charleston.  Specifically, they offer skilled tutoring, structured enrichment activities, field trips, special events, and balanced dinners to all referred children, many of whom do not otherwise get an evening meal.  At the end of each day, Pro-Kids staff transports approximately half of our students directly to the doors of their homes, and keep the others until working parents arrive to retrieve them. Because they are funded by donations and grants, they are able to provide these services at no cost to parents, the majority of whom cannot afford child care. Currently, they have 50 students enrolled currently, with a waiting list that fluctuates between 5 and 20 children.  Since 1992, the program has served over 1,000 youngsters.
