Local Professional Engineer Accepted as Member into National Academy of Forensic Engineers as Board Certified Diplomate

Allegheny Design Services’ president David R. Simpson, P.E., was recently accepted into the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE) as a Board Certified Diplomate in forensic engineering.

NAFE is an organization established to identify professional engineers having qualifications and expertise as practicing forensic engineers. To qualify, the member must demonstrate the appropriate education, experience and competency in forensic engineering.

Simpson has more than 30 years of experience in structural engineering and more than 10 years in the specialty of forensic engineering.

Structural forensic engineering is the investigation of materials, products or structures that fail or do not function as intended.

Simpson is a graduate of the West Virginia University Institute of Technology in civil engineering and also earned a master’s of business administration from WVU. He is currently the president of ADS and CF Forensics in Morgantown.

ADS is a structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering consulting firm located in Morgantown that has served Florida, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. More than 80 percent of their clients are repeat customers.
