Marshall University Career Services will present two identical workshops this summer aimed at incoming freshmen and their families, as well as rising high school seniors.

The workshops, focused on career exploration, the job market, and a comprehensive four-year student career plan, will help both students and parents effectively prepare for college and career paths.

A large number of students change their majors at least once throughout their college careers, resulting in both delayed graduation and increased education costs.  The workshops will give students and parents access to information that can help determine the student’s skill sets and interests, which could potentially lead to a quicker, more informed major selection.

The workshops will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29, in the Career Services office at 1681 5th Ave. in Huntington and will last approximately one hour.  Please make a reservation by July 24, for one workshop only, by calling Career Services at 304-696-2370.
