Susan R. Snowden, Martin & Seibert, L.C. Shareholder, was named by Best Lawyers as one of their “2014 Best Lawyers of the Year” in West Virginia, based on her particularly high level of peer recognition. She was recently featured in the Best Lawyers supplement to the Charleston Daily Mail and the Charleston Gazette.
Ms. Snowden was recognized as the 2014 Morgantown Lawyer of the Year for her appellate practice, citing reported decisions dating back to 1986. More recently, Snowden has heavily litigated the issue of applicability of arbitration provisions in contracts. Her involvement has led her to argue before both the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of appeals of West Virginia.
“Appellate advocacy is exciting and intellectually challenging” says Snowden of her 29 year career. While appellate law is just one area of her practice, she has also been recognized for her defense work in civil matters.
