Martin & Seibert, L.C. is pleased to announce the expansion of their litigation department. Lisa Green has joined the firm to strengthen both the motion and appellate practice, and also to augment existing trial teams. She has an exceptional talent for legal research and written analysis having authored thirty-five successful briefs to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Ms. Green is a skilled and seasoned trial attorney who previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, where during her time as a prosecutor, she obtained numerous felony convictions and served as the lead attorney for numerous significant Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force cases, receiving commendations from the ATF, the DEA and the FBI for many of those prosecutions.

Graduating summa cum laude, Ms. Green obtained her undergraduate degree from West Virginia State College in 1991, and her law degree from West Virginia University in 1995. While at the College of Law, Ms. Green was chosen as a member of the Moot Court Board and later advanced to the National Moot Court Team; served on the Ethics Committee; and was granted entry into the Order of the Barristers.
Ms. Green is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Southern District Court of West Virginia, the Northern District Court of West Virginia and the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.
She is currently a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, the Defense Research Institute and the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce Program Development Planning Committee. Ms. Green also serves as a volunteer at the Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by Jack Nicklaus and played each year at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
