Join Morgantown Social NetworX (MSNX) for a Halloween Costume Happy Hour on Thursday, October 29th from 5-8 p.m. at the Waterfront Place Hotel’s Regatta Bar & Grille with support from The Spa at the Waterfront located at the hotel.

A Halloween costume contest will be held from 7-7:30 p.m., so dress up in your best Halloween costume and get into character.

“The owner of The Spa at the Waterfront approached me to do this additional happy hour on October 29th where we would partner with both the Waterfront Place Hotel and the spa,” Mary Lynn Ulch, founder and co-owner of MSNX, says of the event. “With the hotel being located in the Wharf District and overlooking the Monongahela River, the Waterfront Place Hotel is a great venue to hold Morgantown Social NetworX happy hours.”

The Waterfront Place Hotel is being rebranded as the Marriott Morgantown at Waterfront Place in 2016. This month the hotel began renovations of its 205 guestrooms, and all public spaces will be renovated including the front desk and the addition of a full-service Starbucks and new restaurant over the next six months.

“We are very excited to bring the first Marriott full-service hotel to Northern West Virginia and look forward to our continued partnership with Morgantown Social NetworX,” says Neil Buffington, general manager of the Waterfront Place Hotel.

The Spa at the Waterfront’s interior is inspired by the beautiful surroundings of West Virginia and the elegance of the natural landscapes. The spa creates an experience in an environment designed for balancing spa guests and their wellness. The Spa at the Waterfront focuses on the simplicity of nature, embracing the natural elements of West Virginia and incorporating the four seasons into all aspects from spa treatments to getting outdoors and exploring the wild and wonderful.

“The Spa at the Waterfront is happy to partner with MSNX in promoting local businesses and services,” says Dawn Pater, the spa’s owner. “The Waterfront Hotel and spa work closely together to provide the best experience to our guests and appreciate the unique opportunity to showcase our businesses while meeting with other local business owners in the art of making Morgantown a successful business opportunity for all involved. Morgantown is a special place, and MSNX offers us a way to work together to bring people to our community and enjoy everything that the Morgantown community has to offer, creating a positive influence and generating increased business and referrals. Our goal of Relax, Renew and Rejuvenate happens with partnerships within local and surrounding businesses.”

The Spa at the Waterfront is running a special on pumpkin latte spa services for 10 percent off in October and November.

Happy hour pricing for the MSNX group will include $5 choices of white or red wine by the glass, $1 off draft beer, $5 martinis with house pour vodka or gin and $2 off food orders.

Parking is available in the Morgantown Event Center/Waterfront Place Hotel Garage connected to the hotel. Validated parking tickets will be given to guests attending the MSNX happy hour.
