The Resort at Glade Springs today announces the schedule and attractions of the ninth annual “Fright Nights at The Resort at Glade Springs,”the region’s largest Halloween and haunted-theme attraction, frequented each year by thousands of visitors. Fright Nights events will take place Fridays and Saturdays in October on the following dates: October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27 from sundown to 10:30 p.m.

Fright Nights is proudly presented by John Howerton Honda of Beckley, and a portion of each ticket sold will benefit The United Way of Southern West Virginia. The Resort at Glade Springs is located near Beckley, at 255 Resort Drive in Daniels, West Virginia.

“It’s amazing how well all of our Fright Nights attractions have been received by our guests”, says Ashley Long, the Resort’s Creative Director. “We’re giving people everything that they love about our signature Appalachian Anarchy haunted trail and more this year. Our new “We Are Family” trail theme will send you through a disturbing mountain village with new set pieces, costumes and a family of extremely creepy characters. We’ve also brought back a lot more of everything that made previous year’s haunted trails such a hit: more set pieces with all-new designs, more animatronics, more actors staging scenes of murder and mayhem in the darkness of these West Virginia woods that will really get you screaming! We’ve also completely redesigned the “3D Nightmare” to give participants a real sense of panic and disorientation from the moment you step inside.”

The family-friendly “Spooky Golf” will return this year offering a nine-hole miniature golf course with scary surprises on each hole. “3D Nightmare” makes a comeback this year as well, transforming the pavilion area into a 5000 square foot maze with a new series of floating walls, moving floors and horror themes around every corner from the moment of entry. Participants in the 3D Nightmare will transition over to the new “Biohazard Laser Tag” attraction, where a mad scientist must be stopped before his radioactive lab explodes.

Fright Nights tickets are $25 for a Combo Ticket to “Appalachian Anarchy”, “Spooky Golf” and the “3D Nightmare”; a la carte pricing is $15 for “Appalachian Anarchy”, and $10 for the “3D Nightmare/Biohazard Laser Tag”. “Spooky Golf”, which will also be available for play during daytime business hours, located behind the Resort’s Small Talk Cafe with no advance reservations needed, is $5 per player.

The Resort will also offer a full “Fright Nights Package” for the fifth consecutive year. The package includes overnight accommodations at the Resort including full breakfast, and Combo Tickets to three of the Fright Nights attractions – “Appalachian Anarchy”, “Spooky Golf” and the “3D Nightmare.” The Fright Nights Package starts at just $64 per person, based on double-occupancy, and includes breakfast and Combo Tickets for up to two persons staying in a room.

The Resort encourages Fright Nights patrons to make reservations for its most immersive, year-round Escape Room themes: “The Titanic” and “The Forbidden Tomb”, available to the public year-round and located at the Glade Springs Leisure Center, by calling the Resort’s Activities Concierge at (304) 763-0876 or by visiting gladesprings.com/escape-room.php. These Escape Rooms have proven popular with area residents as interactive, family or date night entertainments, as well as a unique organizational teambuilding exercise.

Please note that admission to the Escape Rooms is sold separately year-round; since these entertainments can last up to 45 minutes per session, the “Titanic” and “Forbidden Tomb” Escape Rooms must be sold by reservation and by time slot at gladesprings.com/escape-room.php or by calling (304) 763-0876. All Escape Rooms are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and are expected to fill quickly on Fridays and Saturdays in October. Escape Rooms are best enjoyed as a group activity for up to six individuals at once.

Tickets to all Fright Nights attractions except for Escape Rooms may be purchased in advance at www.frightnightswv.com; Fright Nights Resort Packages may be purchased at www.gladesprings.com/west-virginia-holiday-packages.php or by calling the Resort at (304) 763-2000.
