Philanthropy West Virginia Welcomes New Board Members and 2014 Officers

The Board of Directors of Philanthropy West Virginia is pleased to announce and welcome two new board members including Bob Orndorff, Jr. of Dominion and Sr. Janice Landwehr, CSJ of the  Sisters of Saint Joseph Health & Wellness Foundation.

“We are honored to welcome Bob and Janice to the WV Grantmakers Board of Directors.  Their expertise and commitment to philanthropy, public policy, community leadership, and civic engagement is a welcome addition to the board,” said Chris Matlick, chair of Philanthropy West Virginia Board of Directors.  Matlick added, “We look forward to Bob and Sr. Janice’s involvement and contribution to strengthening philanthropy in the Mountain State.”

Joining in November 2013, Bob Orndorff, Jr. is managing director, WV state and local government affairs, for Dominion. He is the primary contact for the Dominion Corporate Giving Program as director, state and local government affairs. (Bob has been active in numerous community organizations in West Virginia and is formerly served on the board of Leadership WV.  He is a recognized leader in the oil and gas industry in numerous capacities as well as serving on Governor Tomblin’s Marcellus Task Force and the WV Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Task Force.

Joining us January, 1 2014, Sister Janice Landwehr, CSJ. serves as co-executive director for Sisters of St. Joseph Health and Wellness Foundation. She is a past member of the Board of Directors for St. Alphonsus Youth Center and St. John’s Home for Children, in Wheeling WV. She has also been a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph for 49 years and served for many years in multiple capacities as an educator in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston and with the Samaritan House Alternative Education Program.

Additionally, as of January, 1 2014 Philanthropy WV welcomed its new board leadership team which includes: Chair- Chris Matlick, Executive Administer, of the Mylan Charitable Foundation; Vice Chair- Carla Parsons, Trust Officer of the Hott & Brown Foundations; Secretary-Susan Landis, Executive Director for the Beckley Area Foundation; Treasurer-Tres Ross, Executive Director, The Ross Foundation; Past Immediate Chair- Tom Tinder, Executive Director, WV Bar Foundation; and Paul D. Daugherty, President and CEO.
