The Resort at Glade Springs announces a weekend of spellbinding adventure this Labor Day weekend with its first-ever “Wizarding Weekend”attraction. This family event, scheduled for Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1, 2018 is dedicated to capturing the spirit of magic and enchantment as portrayed in recent iconic hit motion pictures and bestselling novels. Guests will be organized into Orders of Enchantment on their arrival, and the weekend will be filled with activities such as Wand Crafting, Quiddich Practice, Scavenger Hunts, Trivia, specialty drinks at an Elixir Bar and more, topped by a magnificent Wizard’s Feast on Saturday evening, followed by a race for the Wizard’s Cup.

“Wizarding events have been a hit all over the United States and around the world in recent years,” explains Ashley Long, Creative Director at the Resort. “This will be West Virginia’s first Wizarding festival, and we look forward to welcoming guests from not just our area but from all over the country to participate. We encourage everybody, young and old, to dress in their favorite wizarding costumes, as cosplay will be a big part of Wizarding Weekend, although it is not a requirement to join the fun. Being in costume will add to the atmosphere making mixing and socializing with other Wizards, Witches and magical creatures a lot more fun!”

The Resort offers a Wizarding Weekend Package starting at just $106 per person per night including all taxes, based on double occupancy. The package includes nightly accommodations, themed Wizardly Breakfast on Saturday and a full breakfast on Sunday, and all Wizarding Weekend activities. The Wizarding Weekend Package may be reserved online at www.gladesprings.com. For those who cannot stay the full weekend, the Resort is offering a la carte tickets to the Wizard’s Feast on Saturday, September 1 for $38 per person, available online at www.gladesprings.ticketleap.com/wizardsfeast. Availability for packages and a la carte Wizard’s Feast tickets is highly limited, and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
