Golfers at all levels enjoy the many great golf courses available in West Virginia state parks, but the Robert Trent Jones course at Cacapon Resort State Park near Berkeley Springs is offering special discounts this summer.
“The Robert Trent Jones course at Cacapon offers a variety of greens fees and golf packages this year to encourage play during the summer months, as well as to introduce new players to the game of golf,” according to Ken McCarthy, golf professional at the Morgan County destination.
- “Some Like it Hot” is a July golf incentive for golfers who can take advantage of Monday-Thursday play. Greens fees are $20.50 per player without cart.
- Afternoon of Rest is a Sunday after 1 p.m. foursome rate package. Greens fees, shared motorized cart and all taxes total $140.
- On Mondays, a “buy one greens fee and get one free” promotion is available for twosome play when renting a motorized golf cart after 1 p.m.
- Two for Tuesday Golf invites you hit the links with a friend on Tuesdays. Two 18-hole green fees and shared cart is $75 including tax. This rate is good any time of the day Tuesdays.
- Wise Ol’ Wednesday is a foursome play rate. The anytime Wednesday rate requires that one player be age 60 or older. The cost for the foursome is $120, including greens fees, golf carts and taxes. “Because most golfers 60 or wiser don’t look their age, proof of age may be required,” said McCarthy.
- tHERSday is a ladies golf rate. Golf twosomes, when one or both players are ladies, play for $75 including green fees, golf cart and taxes. This rate is available any tee time on tHERSday (Thursday).
- “Youth with Drive” is a golf play rate offer every day for youth golfers under the age of 18. The rate is a half-priced greens fee for the youth when playing with a paying adult.
- “Dog Days of Summer” is a per-person rate August 1–31. Beat the heat on 18-hole play with cart for $35 Monday through Thursday or $40 on weekends (Friday through Sunday.) Taxes are included. Replays on the same day are cart rental fees only; unlimited green fees are part of the Dog Days of Summer, when tee times are open.
