Many people fall in love with the Mountain State after just one visit, thanks to its natural beauty. What better way is there to say “I do” than in a rustic West Virginia venue surrounded by breathtaking views of hills and hollows? These four farm and barn properties offer the bride and groom a unique countryside location to exchange vows as well as assistance in making the day go as smoothly as possible and support in ensuring the day is as unique as Almost Heaven.

What began as a venue for rodeos and horse events has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind wedding site. 4T Arena Events in Bridgeport, WV, offers couples a rustic, off-the-grid feel while being minutes away from a major interstate, airport and local hotels. The 100-acre property features indoor and outdoor ceremony space that seats up to 350 guests, a pavilion for rehearsal dinners, paddocks and fields for the horses and a stall barn. An indoor ceremony venue is available in the event of inclement weather, and the barn is heated to accommodate winter weddings.

4T Arena Events does not book any other events on a weekend when the property is reserved for a wedding. When family members and friends arrive at the venue on Friday, all of the tables, chairs, linens and base decorations are set up and ready for final touches. The ceremony and reception take place on Saturday, and Sunday is reserved for the couple or their families to collect any decorations or items left behind.

The venue’s owners are committed to hosting the perfect wedding every time. In order to make the wedding day as simple, stress-free and budget-friendly as possible, catering and event planning services are included in the wedding package.

The Barn at Olde Homestead

Located on 100 acres in Ona, WV, the Barn at Olde Homestead offers an outdoor ceremony and reception area surrounded by the beauty of the Mountain State. The barn’s design was inspired by a father’s love for his daughter, which led the owners to create a venue fit for any couple’s dream wedding. When it was constructed, it became the only post and beam barn in the area.

The venue—which offers 3,120 square feet for ceremonies, a 1,500-square-foot loft area and a detached 16-foot-by-20-foot deck—allows couples to customize the location for their special day. There are also caterer’s, groom’s and bridal cabins on-site. Although the venue can hold up to 200 guests, it can also accommodate small, intimate ceremonies.

To make wedding planning easy on the bride and groom, the Barn at Olde Homestead offers a variety of wedding packages that allow the couple to create a memorable day in their own style. Whether the couple is looking for a do-it-yourself experience or wants the venue to organize the event, the barn’s own wedding planner is ready to make matrimony dreams come true.

The Barn at Woodridge

What makes the Barn at Woodridge in Sistersville, WV, stand out as a prime wedding venue is its scenery. The main ceremony site is up the hill from the property’s barn. It is accessed by a fruit tree-lined road that boasts a breathtaking view of West Virginia countryside. The venue was originally built for the owners’ daughter to be married at and opened its doors in 2015 as a small, family-run business.

The outdoor wedding site can accommodate up to 180 guests. The barn serves as the reception venue and a ceremony site backup in case of inclement weather. Guests arrive at the hilltop wedding site by wagon ride, which is included in the rental price.

To customize each wedding, the Barn at Woodridge provides catering, decorations and limited lodging on site. The lodging available for rent includes a cabin and an eight-person sleeping loft, as well as RV hookups for out-of-town guests. Tables and chairs are included in the initial rental fee, and the owners are prepared to offer their favorite local recommendations for any additional services the couple may need. Structured to fit any wedding budget, the Barn at Woodridge offers one-day and weekend packages.

Centered in the middle of a 47-acre equestrian farm in Shenandoah Junction, WV, The Barns at Maple Valley Farm offers couples a great hall, courtyard area and lawn for wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception locations.

The venue includes separate spaces for the bridal party to prepare for the wedding, a catering area and bar. In addition to the open fields and wooded areas located on the farm, the horse barn is also a popular spot for photos. The horses located on the property love to greet wedding guests and enjoy being included in bridal portraits.

The rental of the space includes tables and chairs for up to 150 guests. Couples have the option of adding a day-of coordination package to ensure the wedding goes off without a hitch, and the venue provides a recommended vendor list for additional services to make planning easier.

The Barns at Maple Valley Farm appeals to a versatile range of interests that will make the happy couple’s day unique. Whether the bride and groom choose a rustic interior, an industrial look or a Hawaiian theme, this venue is ready to meet the unique needs of any couple.
