Savor Huntington, a newly-formed association of independent restaurants, set out to support those businesses and encourage their growth.
“People are looking for something unique and authentic to this region,” says Thomas McChesney, interim Savor Huntington president. “One way Huntington can achieve this is through the growth and support of local food culture. Savor Huntington will partner with local restaurants to offer the community a variety of food to fit any taste and price ranges to fit any budget.”
The number of local restaurants in Huntington has grown dramatically in recent years; with the creation of Savor Huntington, this growth is intended to continue. With the help of the Cabell Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau, the members of Savor Huntington hope to host various events and promotions for foodies in the area, giving them an opportunity to explore new styles of food and get to know other people who share a common desire for local business sustainment.
