The U.S. Small Business Administration’s West Virginia District Office hosts an entrepreneurship training course for Veterans and their spouses Thursday, November 3, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Clarksburg VA Medical Center multi-purpose room on the first floor. The free two hour training includes:

  • Why veterans make exceptional business owners.
  • Finding business opportunity that is right for you.
  • Turning your business idea into a reality.
  • Resources available to help you along the way.

“The military has a track record of producing outstanding leaders, explaining why nearly 1 in 10 U.S. entrepreneurs are veterans” states Karen Friel, SBA’s West Virginia district director. “Trainings like this helps develop their skills, connect them to the right resources, and leads them to be successful entrepreneurs in their communities.”

The event is located at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center, 1 Med Center Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301 in the multipurpose room on the first floor.

Those interested but unable to participate can join a Veteran to Business Owner overview webinar Monday, October 31, 2016, from 11:30am – 12:30 pm.

Register for the free event at www.sba.gov/wv or contact Larry Batten at 304-623-7447 or larry.batten@sba.gov.
