SBA Participates in Lewis County Business Connect Event

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s West Virginia District Office provides training during the Lewis County Business Connect event, March 4 at the Hickory House Event Center, Jane Lew WV. During the event, the U.S. Small Business Administration holds training on Resources Available for Small Businesses, Show me the Money, and Marketing on a Shoestring.

“Resources Available for Small Businesses” starts at 9:15 a.m. SBA representatives review programs and services available to help small businesses start, grow, and succeed. “Show me the Money” starts at 9:30 a.m. SBA representatives discuss financing options available to small business through the SBA. “Marketing on a Shoestring” kicks off at 10:00 a.m. SBA and Impact Marketing’s Luke Nesler discuss low cost marketing techniques small businesses can use to promote their business.

SBA Resource Partners, the Small Business Development Center and SCORE hold educational workshops during the event.

“Almost all business with employees are small and make up more than 95 percent of all employers in the state,” says Karen Friel, SBA’s West Virginia District Director. “Events like Lewis County Business Connect are a great resource for small businesses.”
