SBA to Offer Free Workshops in Lewis County

The West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration holds two free workshops Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Lewis County Senior Center in Weston.  SBA Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator, Natalia Olson-Urtecho will be in attendance for both events. Both workshops are free and open to the public.

The first workshop begins at 10 a.m. and is targeted to those over the age of 50 who are looking to start a small business.  Olson-Urtecho will give an overview of resources available through the SBA and SCORE counselors will be on hand to answer individual questions.

The second workshop begins at 12 p.m. and Olson-Urtecho will deliver an overview of how the Affordable Care Act affects small businesses.  Linda Vance, ACA Navigator, with the Lewis County Senior Center will discuss how navigators can assist individuals enrolling in SHOP.  Also in attendance will be Chris Heater from GJ Garton Insurance to provide information on enrollment in the individual market place.
