West Virginia University will take on Syracuse in the 2012 New Era Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 3:15 p.m. in the legendary Yankee Stadium. The WVU Alumni Association and the NY-NJ Metro Chapter of the Alumni Association have joined together to offer several pre-game events for Mountaineers.

Fans can enjoy a “welcome” social hosted by the NY-NJ Metro Chapter at Hudson Station (440 9th Ave., New York City) on Friday, Dec. 28, beginning at 6 p.m. Hudson Station will offer food and drink specials for Mountaineer fans.

On Saturday, Dec. 29, join the NY-NJ Metro Chapter and the WVU Alumni Association back at Rathbones for a Mountaineer Meet and Greet beginning at 12 p.m. with giveaways, food and drink specials, highlight videos, subway passes (for the first 100 fans showing game tickets), and more.

“We are so excited Mountaineer fans will be traveling to New York to enjoy the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl,” said Liam Gilroy, president of the chapter. “The NY-NJ Metro Chapter is pleased to coordinate a few activities that will bring alumni and fans together and give them a chance to enjoy all that this city has to offer.”
