The shops in Historic Beverly offer a unique shopping experience for this Christmas season. Four shopping Saturdays from November 24 through December 15 will feature seasonal specials and hometown welcome.

The Shop Beverly specials will be featured starting with Small Business Saturday on November 24, then Beverly Old-Fashioned Christmas on December 1, with continued shopping on December 8 and 15. Most of the shops are also open during weekdays until Christmas.

The Beverly Heritage Center “Crawford Store” gift shop features Civil War and local history books and a selection of heritage inspired local crafts. A basket raffle is open starting at the Night at the Museum event on November 10, with the drawing during Beverly Old-Fashioned Christmas December 1. Other crafts and unique home décor items are featured at Cornucopia, Back in Tyme, and Blossom Village. A Winter Farmers’ Market is set up each Saturday from Nov. 24-Dec. 15 in downtown Beverly with art and craft items, prepared foods, and winter market goods.

The Historic Beverly Antique Mall offers a variety of small and large antique items including jewelry, glassware, vintage clothing, and furniture, as well as a selection of gently used books. Lemuel Chenoweth House features a quality assortment from antique paper items to  furniture. Both shops also offer an opportunity to explore and enjoy their unique historic building setting.

For food while you are shopping, or for gifts or gift certificates, enjoy a homecooked meal at Mama’s Kitchen or lunch specials at Back in Tyme. Back in Tyme has a wide selection of homemade goods, including soaps, lotions, and other fragrant products. Select a special hand-cut meat selection at Campbell’s Market for your holiday meal.

Dec. 1 is Beverly Old-Fashioned Christmas with festivities such as Victorian Santa, Beverly Presbyterian Church bazaar and lunch, and a basket-making workshop led by Leslie Gordon. At 3 p.m. caroling will commence with help from Americorps volunteers.
