Chuck Whitaker, the co-founder of Metro Traffic and the one of nations most respected traffic reporters is proud to announce his latest venture, the National News Team (NNT). The National News is the expansion and evolution of Whitaker’s exclusive Traffic Team Network, which provides real time traffic reports to the Florida and Maryland markets.
The NNT was created to fill a void in the market left by the national news providers scaling back operations and consolidating reporting to off site and out of market locations. In addition, the NNT will provide news, weather, sports and technology content in addition to his award winning traffic reporting.
Currently, The NNT serves to over 1.7 million listeners and growing. Nearly 50 percent of audience members are between 25 and 54, a key demographic typically lost in the shuffle of major urban advertising.

Chuck- I listened to your (morning) traffic reports for many years when I lived in the Howard County suburbs of Baltimore. For some reason your phrase:”Car-B-Que” hasn’t been picked up down here in San Antonio,but whenever I see a symbol of an overturned car with flames shooting up from it, I remember you and your informative, and often hilarious, traffic reports. Back then I had no idea how technology allowed you to speak of traffic snarls and such, up “there”, even after you split for Florida. I think it was because our traffic reporting and graphics here are so… BLAH,that a few days ago, I though of you and your melodious voice and unforgettable laugh. It took me a couple of days,though,to recall your name,and I was pleased to read that your business seems to be thriving. Wishing you nothing but continued success and my fervent hopes that you’ll soon expand into South Texas.
