The U.S. Small Business Administration West Virginia District Office hosts three Boots to Business Reboot trainings across West Virginia. Veterans of all eras, Service members (including National Guard and Reserve) and their spouses are eligible to enroll in classes. Boots to Business Reboot is a two-step training program that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources.

WV Boots to Business Reboot Training Schedule:

“Veterans have the character, discipline and skills needed to succeed as small business owners and entrepreneurs,” states SBA West Virginia District Director Karen Friel. “Veterans are 45% more likely to be self-employed than non-veterans and we want to make sure those interested in starting a small business in West Virginia have the resources they need.”
