The University of Charleston announced the offering to two new majors and a new minor, enrolling now for Fall 2017.

The University will offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science, designed to help students interested in working as a personal trainer, conditioning specialist or health and fitness educator, focusing on an interdisciplinary approach to health care.

UC will also offer a new Multi-Disciplinary Studies Major. Under the guidance of an advisor, a student can select any three minors to create a major. Currently, UC offers minors in art, biology, business administration, integrated communication, chemistry, English, graphic design, political science, psychology, sport business, and a new Entrepreneurship Minor, any of which can be used for the MDS degree.

The minor in Entrepreneurship enables students to develop skills to launch startups, nonprofits, and artistic endeavors, in combination with any of the University’s major programs. This new minor will be housed in the University’s new Innovation Center, to provide an experiential-learning based program.

In addition, the University is offering an MBA via Synchronized WebEx, for students outside of the Charleston area that will provide a unique option for students to pursue an MBA without having to be on campus.
