Thomas Health System is fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who each brings a unique background and individual experience to our organization who make a difference in the life of others. Our Volunteers serve not only in the Gift Shop, but in other areas of the hospital including Admitting, Emergency Department, Endoscopy, Information Desk, Lab, One-Day Surgery, Physical Therapy, Pre-admission Testing, and the Surgery waiting area.
Over the years, both the Thomas and the Saint Francis Auxiliaries, who have a combined 148 volunteers with over 125 years of service and over 40,000 hours, have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the hospitals for various projects, equipment and services that are patient related.
In addition, the Auxiliaries have given thousands of dollars in scholarship money to students in this area who are pursuing degrees in the healthcare field.
This group of dedicated and selfless volunteer help make our team what it is every day. Exceptional medicine. Every day.
