The West Virginia Department of Commerce congratulates three West Virginia companies on winning 2016 President’s “E” Awards for exporting.

Presented Monday by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, the “E” Award is the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports

Eagle Manufacturing Company of Wellsburg and Falcon Analytical of Lewisburg received the “E” Award for Exports, which recognizes an organization that has made significant contributions to the expansion of U.S. exports.

FCX Systems, Morgantown, received the “E” Star Award, which recognizes previous award winners for continued efforts in export expansion.

“The achievement of having three West Virginia companies receive the ‘E’ Award shines a light on the world-class quality of the goods and services made here,” said West Virginia Commerce Secretary Keith Burdette. “West Virginia’s businesses are competing successfully in global markets. Congratulations to these outstanding companies taking their products around the globe.”

Eagle Manufacturing Company was founded in 1894 by brothers James, Harry and Samuel Paull and their brother-in-law W.C. Jacob. The company is still owned by third- and fourth-generation descendants of the family, supported by many employees descended from generations of Eagle workers. Over the years, the company evolved from manufacturing glass jars to metal oil cans to its current line of plastic industrial safety cans, safety cabinets and other protective products.

Falcon Analytical provides measurement, control and automation solutions with its full line of gas chromatograph analyzers, autosamplers, related software and other products. The company serves the hydrocarbon processing, oil and gas exploration and production, food and beverage, and environmental industries.
